Hamilton Bean, assistant professor in communication, has been selected to participate in the New Agendas in Communication Conference, April 3-5, 2014, hosted by the Moody College of Communication and the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin.

The purpose of the New Agendas series is to showcase junior researchers who are making notable contributions to their field—in this case, the field of strategic communication. The conference began as a lure for professionals and ametuers of the communications area of expertise to share, research, and contribute fresh ideas to the field.

Selected participants are flown to Austin, Tex. for a mini conference where they will present their original papers and eventually publish those papers, each as a chapter in New Agendas, a book dedicated to strategic communication.
