Competition on harnessing new technology
Neurology Resident Mario Cerdan-Trevino, MD, has won a “New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Scholar Award” for a 500-word essay he submitted for a competition among college, medical, and post-graduate students, residents and fellows. It was part of NEJM’s 200th anniversary.
Applicants were asked to write (and illustrate) how to harness new technology to improve health. Neurology Professors John Corboy, MD, and Richard Hughes, MD, and fellow resident Wes Reynolds, MD, contributed suggestions for Cerdan-Trevino’s article.
