“We are excited to receive this recognition as one of the best schools for veterans in the nation,” said Patrick Browne, Director of CU Denver and CU Anschutz Veteran & Military Student Services. “Working together, our faculty, staff and students raise the bar for veterans and their families. We are proud of what our veteran students achieve.”

The Office of Veteran Student Services is committed to helping our veteran students achieve their academic and career goals through peer-to-peer mentoring, mental wellness support, tutoring, scholarships and professional development. This is accomplished through programs like Boots to Suits, which helps veterans transition from the military to the classroom and then from the classroom to the workforce. By participating in Boots to Suits, veterans are primed to become business professionals and leaders in our community.

Key factors in the rankings include services, employment opportunities, accommodations and financial incentives for students with military ties. University culture and academic outcomes for veterans also figure into the ranking.
