The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) provides a wealth of data and information on its interactive, self-service website at www.UCDenver.edu/IR.
In addition to information about the department, the OIRE staff and their Strategic Plan, the website offers a comprehensive Report Library of pdf documents containing information on University of Colorado Denver l Anschutz Medical Campus faculty and staff data, Institutional Facts and Characteristics (including the Common Data Set and Essential Facts) and student data about enrollment, graduation rates, and more.
If site visitors don’t see the information they’re looking for in the Report Library, OIRE offers an online electronic form for submitting data and report requests. But it is important to note: the earlier requests are made before a deadline, the more likely your timelines are to be met by the OIRE team. Reports and data analyses can be placed within an authorized user’s secured “My Reports” library, where private and sensitive documents and reports can be organized and retrieved whenever needed.
To request an account on the OIRE website, click the “User Login” link on the homepage, and select “Apply for a new account” in the middle of the screen. As soon as the request is received, and the user’s authorized supervisor approves the request, the account will be created. This secured User Portal also offers authorized faculty and staff the opportunity to submit “shortcut” Data Requests by having the form automatically fill in many areas.
OIRE staff members continue working to expand this User portal functionality to include:
- a new Faculty Reporting of Professional Activities (FRPA) system, allowing faculty to enter, update and maintain their instruction, creative work, scholarly and research projects, and honors/awards (available for the 2012-2013 fiscal year)
- a subscription service to allow users to be automatically notified when reports of interest are updated or published.
If you would like to know more about these services, or would like to subscribe to the OIRE electronic newsletter (published once per semester), please send an email to [email protected]. To read back issues, click on the “About Us” link and select “Newsletter Archive.”
