Suite named in company’s honor will house the Global Energy Management program

A $1 million gift from EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. was announced last night at the “Make Your Mark” event for the Business School at the University of Colorado Denver. The event, attended by local business leaders and entrepreneurs, offered a sneak peek at the school’s new building located in the heart of downtown Denver. EnCana, a Canadian corporation with its U.S. headquarters in Denver, is the largest producer of natural gas in North America. This innovative company has long been a close ally and partner of CU Denver’s Business School beginning with the initial development of an energy accounting course in 2006, followed by the development and launch of the school’s new Global Energy Management (GEM) degree, which enrolled its first students in January 2009.
