Ann Komara, PhD, chair and associate professor of Landscape Architecture, was an invited juror for the Arizona chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Awards (ASLA) on Feb. 4.

The jury consisted of six Colorado ASLA professionals and educators who evaluated professional awards submissions in the categories: Residential (three categories), Research, Communications, General Design, Analysis and Planning. They also reviewed student awards submissions in the General Design and Research & Communication categories.

Komara’s own work interests include landscape history and theory, as well as cultural and modern landscapes.
