DENVER – There’s a new face in the Financial Aid Office; James Broscheit joins the team as director with 25-plus years of experience in financial aid.
Broscheit began his term as the Director of Financial Aid on May 7 and is filling a vacancy that has been open for nearly a year.
Previously, Broscheit served eight years at Colorado State University as the associate director of Financial Aid, and prior to that he was on the Boulder campus for five years.
“We need to put this institution in the best place to face changes,” Broscheit said. “Changes in financial aid are happening every year now instead of every four or five years, so we need to be ready for immediate response.”
Broscheit is stepping into the director shoes at what some may say is a tough time. “There is going to be a couple more years of struggle ahead of us even though the economy is turning up,” Broscheit commented. “I really want to focus on consistent leadership, and my priority is solely financial aid.”
His office is in the Financial Aid area on the main floor of the North Classroom Building on the Denver Campus with Auraria.
