Associate Professor Adjunct of Planning and Design, Peter Park has spoken at several events this fall.
In November, Park was a featured guest speaker at the Bruner Loeb Forum, “Legacy City Design,” an invitation-only design workshop in Detroit, Mich., to share best design practices, innovations, and lessons from cities that struggle with chronic population loss and excessive land vacancy. The forum was written up in an article in Metropolis magazine on Dec. 16, “Big Ideas from the 2013 Bruner Loeb Forum in Detroit.”
Also, in November, Park spoke on “The Built Environment for Mobility” at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Park visited Chennai, India, in December. for the Institute for Transportation & Development Policy’s exhibition and events program, “Our Cities Ourselves,” where he was a keynote speaker on “Enabling Transit-oriented Development.”
