There’s nothing like lounging by the pool and soaking up the summer sun, but if you haven’t considered taking a CU Denver Summer Session course, you might want to think again.

Less stress

“Summer Session is definitely less stress since you can choose to only take a couple classes rather than a full course load,” said Emily Wolff, an undergraduate Business School student.

Whether the goal is to graduate on time or even to graduate early, Summer Session is here to help. After changing majors, Wolff faced an extra semester to complete her classes, but by taking advantage of summer session she’ll be able to graduate on time and with a minor in economics. “Taking classes over the summer also helps me maintain the same schedule and stay prepared for classes in the fall,” Wolff said.

A summer in the city

Summer Session is also a great way to get ahead on graduate-degree requirements or learn a new skill. Taking classes isn’t the end of summer fun; it’s the beginning. Spending the summer with CU Denver means spending the summer in the city, the perfect place to experience Denver’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere. With the 16th Street Mall only minutes away, as well as Coors Field and Elitch Gardens Theme Park right next door, it’s easy to take a class and then head out for an afternoon of fun.

Already a student elsewhere?

Take Summer Session as a visiting student.

“It will be worth it when you graduate on time or even earlier,” said Wolff. Don’t let the summer go to waste: Experience the best of both worlds by getting ahead in classes while enjoying summer in the city with CU Denver’s Summer Session.
