Two independent rankings, Military Times and Military Friendly, recently rated the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus among the best colleges for veterans and military-related students.

These honors are a testament to the university’s strong Office of Veteran & Military Student Services (VMSS), which provides support and advocacy for Active Duty, Reservist, National Guard, Veterans and their families. Both lists considered VMSS services offered along with achievement and career preparedness of military-related students in their ranking methodology.

Military Times – 11th Place

CU Denver and CU Anschutz together placed 11th on the Military Times Best: Colleges 2018 ranking.

Of the hundreds of colleges that applied, only 140 four-year colleges made the cut this year, and CU Denver | Anschutz is the highest-ranked Denver-based university on the list. For more information, read the Military Times announcement about this year’s rankings.

Military Friendly – GOLD Designation

Military Friendly awarded CU Denver | Anschutz a GOLD designation on its 2018 list of the nation’s top Military Friendly® schools.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the schools. For the first time, student survey data was taken into consideration. More than 1,300 schools participated in the 2017-2018 survey with 849 earning the designation, and CU Denver | Anschutz is one of the top-rated schools in the “Tier 2 Research Institution” category.
